I'll start.  Here's my video for the shelter challenge.  I got it in 3 minutes no problem, but the super goal of 90 seconds was too much for me.

I think I could get the 90 second badge with a more advantageous shelter type, but I'm so far out of my depth already that I'll stick with what I can do.

Also, please forgive me for my style of sunglasses.  I lost mine recently and have yet to replace them.  I had to use the eye-pro from my range bag.

Well played! You'll get the Level 1 for this.

And, I think you can absolutely do the 90 second version, but you have to think lighter. For example, who says you need to get 4 stakes in the ground? A lean-to shelter is perfectly serviceable, and only needs two stakes (for example). You could also have the ridge line pre-tied into the grommets of the tarp, so you don't have to worry about draping it over like that.

I also noticed that you tied cord to the stakes. You could try tying a loop of cord onto the corner grommet itself instead.

I'm going to give this one a shot this weekend.

@matt

I didn't know if tieing the tarp to the ridgeline before hand was allowed.  That being the case, I could probably get it done in 90 seconds or less.

I have the cord tied to the stakes with a prusset knot allowing me to take up slack, tensioning the tarp just how I want it.  It's a feature that isn't really useful for this challenge, though I would like it in a real camping scenario.  I may go with the loop idea if I need a few more seconds.

Agreed. Once I learned it, it's the go-to.
